The Local Scientific Committee is composed of the Director, the Director-Designate, and of four to five members named by the Board of Directors. The members of the committee are François Lalonde (CRM), Steven Boyer (UQAM), Gilles Brassard (UdeM), André Fortin (Laval), Andrew Granville (UdeM), and Dmitry Jakobson (McGill).

• Prepares proposals on the main priorities, strategic plan and scientific programs and submits them to the International Scientific Advisory Committee;

•After consulting the International Scientific Advisory Committee, it defines the main priorities, strategic plan and scientific programs and submits them to the Board of Directors;

• Advises the Director on any issue regarding the scientific programs.
